Events

Kids Building Wisconsin has multiple events during the year.   Our primary event will take place on Saturday September 11, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  Kids Building Wisconsin, just like the construction industry, is a rain of shine event and provides hands on fun activities with a construction focus..  From Boom lift rides to building toolboxes, Kids Building Wisconsin has activities for children from 3-12 age range.  Take a look at many of the exhibits below.

The Waukesha event is put on by the Waukesha County Business Alliance in conjunction with Kids Building Wisconsin for schools in the Milwaukee area to come experience the construction industry.  This event is also  a hands on event held at Milwaukee Tool, Kids Building Wisconsin Waukesha is not open to the public but rather to local area schools who sign up to attend as a field trip.   For more information about how your school can get involved please contact the Waukesha County Business Alliance. The 2021 Milwaukee event has been postponed.

ABOUT US >

Kids Building Wisconsin is here to inspire and encourage kids’ interest in construction. Join us again this year for our annual event! As always, Kids Building Wisconsin is free and open to the public. At our event, we have big construction equipment, awesome hands-on exhibits highlighting the many exciting careers in the construction industry, food, fun visitors, and lots of chances to win prizes.

Kids Building Wisconsin is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to three main goals:

  1. Hosting a fun, educational community event free of charge to show kids and their families the exciting potential that a career in the construction industry offers.

  2. Laying the groundwork to combat the skilled worker shortage in our beautiful state.

  3. Elevating the image of the industry and celebrating those in it.
